Osteopathic Manual Therapist
Andrée's fascination with the human body and her calling to help people led her to pursue a career in the field of osteopathy. She graduated from the Canadian College of Osteopathy in 2020. Her thesis examined the effects of osteopathic treatment on women suffering from dysmenorrhea. Andrée also has a Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree from the University of Winnipeg in affiliation with the Professional Program of the School of Contemporary Dancers. It is her passion for holistic health and her kinesthetic expertise which provide the foundation of her unique therapeutic approach and that which continues to inform her evolving practice.
Osteopathy
Osteopathy is a manual therapy based on precise palpatory treatment. Its objective is to liberate the different tissues of the body by removing the mechanical constraints which prevent them from accomplishing their natural functions. Osteopathic manual therapists look at the anatomical, physiological and mechanical interrelationships between the systems in the body. The therapeutic goal of osteopathy is to address the root cause of the dysfunctions and not merely treat symptoms.
